I love the contrast of the ice-cold drink with the heat of the jalapeños. These are mildly hot but, of course, you can use more peppers or infuse the tequila with the jalapeño overnight and make them even hotter! You can also prepare the entire cocktail mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 6 hours. Pour over ice or shake with ice before serving.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, Silver or Blanco tequila, triple sec, fresh-squeezed lime juice, agave nectar and jalapeño slices.
Close tightly and shake vigorously until the outside becomes frosty.
Strain into a glass and garnish with lime wedges and a few sprigs of cilantro. Cheers!
