Melt butter and add onion and garlic until golden brown.
Add all the spices and cook for 1 minute.
Add the chicken broth and boil gently for 15 to 20 minutes.
Then add pumpkin and cream and pour into a blender or use an immersion blender until creamy.
Serve with a dollop of sour cream or creme fraiche, chives or any type of microgreen and maple croutons for some added crunch.
